Bio

Mikkel Orthmann Grønbech is part of the Tech Team and employed by the Contract Law Department at Focus Advokater. Among other subjects he advises on commercial contracts, standard terms, software licenses and related disputes. He takes a practical approach to drafting and negotiation of agreements involving the supply and installation of technological equipment, especially machinery, robots and IoT.

His consultancy services also include development agreements, service agreements (maintenance and repair), and dealer agreements. In addition, he has experience with the Machinery Directive and its enforcement, including compliance with ATEX requirements.

Mikkel Orthmann Grønbech also works with the regulation of digital products, both from a theoretical and practical perspective. He is co-author on a research article published in ‘Ugeskrift for Retsvæsen’ (weekly magazine for the judiciary) about the EU’s many regulatory measures in relation to data and especially ownership of data.

Mikkel Orthmann Grønbech is a teacher on the course Technology and Law at the University of Southern Denmark.
