Bio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rikke Graff Merkel is employed by the Contract Law Department at Focus Advokater. She primarily assists Focus Advokater\u2019s Tech Team in relation to GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining Focus Advokater, Rikke Graff Merkel spent 14 years in an IT company developing software and simulation programmes for the Danish Defence. She was responsible for the cooperation with the Danish Defence Intelligence Service in relation to security clearances for both employees and the company, and as a health and safety representative and HR representative, she was responsible for the company’s implementation of GDPR and later for the company’s internal compliance.

Parallel to her work, Rikke Graff Merkel was a Master of Laws student at the University of Southern Denmark. In 2019, she was hired as a trainee in the GDPR Team at Focus Advokater, and following this, she was posted to a major automotive group, where she assisted the company in their GDPR compliance work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June 2021, Rikke Graff Merkel passed the Master of Laws degree. She continued her career at Focus Advokater, and she was later employed as a legal consultant in the Tech Team.

Today, Rikke Graff Merkel works with GDPR and compliance, both internally and externally, as well as with cyber security from both a legal and a practical perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, she works as a posted GDPR specialist for a number of customers.<\/p>\n<\/div>
