Bio

Partner Morten Elbrønd is head of Focus Advokater’s insolvency law department and is certified as an insolvency lawyer by Danske Insolvensadvokater (Danish Association of Insolvency Lawyers). He has been appointed as permanent liquidator and trustee, as well as authorised estate administrator, at the Probate Court in Odense.

For several years, he has advised distressed companies and their creditors, as a trustee in bankruptcy proceedings, and been involved in reconstructions and debt settlements.

Working with insolvency law requires knowledge of a range of other legal disciplines, which is why he processes a broad knowledge of Danish commercial law in general. He also has experience from secondments as in-house counsel at private companies, including a bank.

He advises on inheritance matters, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney for future incapacity, and prenuptial agreements, and handles and advises on estates of deceased persons.
